Flower Girl and ICAD

I want to begin by thanking my friend Neet from Hickydorums.  She has been a fantastic host and I'm sure those of you who participated at Art Journal Journey last month will agree.

Today we welcome a new host, as we do each month.  It is the incredibly talented Matilde from Craftowanie.  Her theme is People.

I give you Flower Girl.  A detail shot is below.

I started by adhering four empty seed packets to 110 lb cardstock. I then adhered the small seed packet at an angle over which I glued the TH paper doll.  I tried to line her feet up to parts on two seed packets.  Finally, I added the computer generated words that I outlined in black dye ink.

Please remember we welcome art journal pages that meet the theme requirements, altered book pages, canvases, loose, or stand alone pages including fabric and digital art.  I (and the administrators) cannot leave comments on Facebook, TicToc, or Instagram entries.  We do not allow cards!!!  We also don't allow tags, index cards, ATCs, or ATCoins, unless they are part of a journal page, and as much as we don't want to, will be forced to delete your entry.  Please remember if your blog is not in English, we ask that you translate it for us since the translation tool doesn't work on some blogs, including mineHope to see you and your People entries soon at Art Journal Journey.

Also this will be my 13th year participating in ICADs, or Index Card A Day.  This could be my most ambitious year to date.  I even created a cover card, something I have never done before.

What you will see each day.  There will more than likely be paint.  There will also be book pages, postage stamps, words of wisdom, and mark making.  They will of course, be created by Bleubeard and myself.  I will post weekly each Sunday.

I want to thank Tammy at Daisy Yellow for hosting this fun summertime venture every year.  I know she puts a lot into the daily and weekly prompts, but I'm just no good at finding the images to match.  And I certainly can't draw, so I just create what I find in magazines and junk mail that comes to my house.   And this year there will be book pages and used postage stamps.  It's a bit sad I'm not on any of the social media sites on which Tammy and others post their ICADs. But, as I've said in the past, this is the only place you will find mine, year after year after year!  I hope you will stick with Bleubeard and me through another year of this ICAD challenge.

Please let me know in comments if you are creating ICADs this year and I'll be by to visit.

I have a poppy-packet from Perth right here on the wall - you made me smile big with this!
Studies really eat me up so likely I cannot join again. I even stopped training, but plan to get back at that.
Looking forward to your art! :-)

If you are as slack as I am, I answered this on my blog to your comments:
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, Elizabeth - my, In German that´d be shorter just "Danke, danke danke"!!! I´ll keep these but with studying likely will not find any time.... so please be not disappointed!!!!"

Happy June my friend. I like your gardening lady and her seed choices. That's a super idea. I wish seeds were still 59 cents too-grin. And I can't believe it's ICAD time already. I don't know where this year is flying to. I always enjoy your icads, so I'll be looking forward to seeing them. I hope you have a wonderful day 1 of June. hugs-Erika

Love your Flower Girl - and what a great idea using flower seed packets to form the background. They look so rich and colourful there and I do like the girl whom you have lined up perfectly to be standing just as you envisaged.
Good luck with the iCads.
Hugs, Neet xx

Beautiful page! I love how you recycled the seed packets for your flower girl background - perfect 😊. Sorry, I won't be able to join you for T Day for the next couple of weeks but I'll be sure to join you about mid month. Wishing you a very Happy June, enjoy ❤️. Hugs, Jo x
